The Live catalog holds structured items — products, services, property listings, menus or plans. Only a compact index is loaded into the call; the agent looks up full details (price, availability, specifications) when a caller asks, so a large catalog doesn't slow calls down.

Only agents you explicitly enable can use the catalog.
